Thoughts

When I started reading this, I was told it was the best place to begin since it’s set furthest back in Azeroth’s timeline. However, I later found a more helpful reading order: Best Warcraft Lore Order

As someone new to Warcraft lore, I found some parts hard to follow, especially with character references and historical events I wasn’t familiar with. The prologue in particular threw me off, as it didn’t clearly connect to the rest of the story.

That said, I’m glad I read it. It gave me a better understanding of the Aspects and their role in Azeroth’s history. I’m currently reading Rise of the Horde and, nine chapters in, I can already tell it’ll rate higher for me. Not because Dawn of the Aspects is bad, but Rise of the Horde feels more engaging and easier to follow so far.
